So, now what?

Well, sit and think about who you would like to nominate for each category and nominate your favourite in the following way:

1) Tweet your nominations to @PEITweetUp or @peihouses. You don’t have to nominate someone in every category if you don’t want to.

2) Leave a comment on this post with your nomination(s).

3) Go to our Facebook page (PEI Tweet Ups), join the group and leave a comment there specifying your nomination(s).

We are accepting nominations until September 20th. Then the VOTING will begin!!!

2011 Twitter Awards

They’re BACK!!!!!

It’s time again for the Twitter Awards. This was a fun addition to our Tweet Up last October. People liked them so much we promised to make it an annual event.

Here were the categories we came up with last year:

Our PEI Tweet Up for October is slated for October 21st and will be held once again at The Pourhouse (above The Old Triangle). We’re looking forward to seeing all our Twitter friends there!

We are busy planning our Tweet Up for June 2011.

This will be our one year “anniversary” for the  PEI Tweet Up so we hope lots will come help us celebrate.

Feedback welcome

Our second PEI Tweet Up was this past Friday at The Globe. We had an excellent turn out, lots of door prizes, introduction of the Twitter Awards and many tweeters met face to face for the first time.

Our plan is to have three Tweet Up events per year. They will be in February, June and October.

We received fantastic feedback from everyone on both events. We are always open to suggestions and new ideas for future events. Please post your comments here and let us know what you liked about the Tweet Ups or what you would like to see added. These events are for everyone on Twitter so help us make it better!

Also, if you would like to be involved in planning the next event, let us know and we will add you to our group email list.

In case you were wondering what was going to take place at the PEI Tweet Up, here is the schedule:

3:30 – 4:30 –  Free information session offered by John Morris. Learn basics of Twitter

5:00 Tweet Up begins

6:30  - First round of door prizes drawn

7:00 – 7:15  - Twitter Awards Announced

8:00  - Second round of door prizes drawn

Voluntary donation at door for Christmas Miracle Fundraiser

Tweet Up ends at 9:00 but there will be lots more entertainment following the event!
